SWEDEN: HEAVEN AND HELL (1968)

Originally titled SVEZIA INFERNO E PARADISO, this is Luigi Scattini's (WITCHCRAFT 70) famous mondo that became highly controversial after its Swedish television screening. Apparently, Scattini had shot footage without permission and the film had to be cut in order to save the dignity of some performers that were unknowingly taking part! We proudly present the uncut version in which the director makes sure the Swedish youth is presented in the most sinister possible way: teen girls using contraceptives, lesbian nightclubs, wife swapping, porno movies, biker gangs, and Walpurgis Night celebrations. It also examines Sweden's purported drug, drinking and suicide problems. Photographed by Claudio Racca who later went on to make the sick TOMBOY! Our print is beautiful, not to mention uncut!
